On Monday, July 14th, Executive Director of Digital Liberty Katie McAuliffe, sent a letter to members of the House of Represenatives encouraging them to take action with Permanent Internet Tax Freedom Act.
H.R. 3086, Permanent Internet Tax Freedom Act (PITFA) would prohibit both state and federal government from taxing access to the Internet. In addition, the Act would stop discriminatory tax rates on e-commerce. The legislation will be on the House floor for vote, today, July 15th.
