Research and Development (R&D) is a driving force for innovation and job creation in the United States.  Even though the U.S. was the first country to offer an R&D tax credit, its value currently ranks 24th out of the 38 countries that have one.  Worse, the current short-term tax credit suffers from a constant need for Congress to reauthorize it and is now set to expire in a few years.  All told, it provides over $9 billion of tax relief to companies and individuals every year. Tell Congress to make the R&D tax credit permanent!
